Pin-in - September 15, 2005 Harrisburg FD along with Cabarrus County EMS and Rescue Squad responded to a single vehicle crash with subjects pinned in and a vehicle fire. A Cabarrus Rescue Squad member arrived on scene to find one subject pinned in and two others still inside the vehicle with heavy fire spreading from the engine compartment to the interior compartment of the vehicle. Harrisburg Engine 1551 arrived on scene and immediately began fire suppression operations and Engine 1651 began extraction operations. Chief 1601 arrived on scene and immediately began patient care on a fourth pateint already out if the vehicle. Concord Fire & Life Safety was requested for additional manpower. Jackson Park VFD was requested to assist with a landing zone. The cause of the accident is being investigated by NCSHP. |
