On the morning of July 30, 2008, Harrisburg Fire Department was alerted to a motor vehicle accident with pin-in on NC Highway 49 at Caldwell Road. Harrisburg Engine 1 arrived to find a two car MVA with confirm pin-in. HB 11 established command and assigned Engine 1 to patient care and secured the vehicles. Rescue 1 began extricating operations.
