Morehead Rd. Industrial Accident On Tuesday March 15, 2005, at 1626 hours, Harrisburg FD was dispatched to an industrial accident. Chief Christopher arrived on scene first and established command. A section of a large tree fell on an excavator, pinning the operator at the legs. Harrisburg personnel developed a plan to use low-pressure air bags to lift the tree. Harrisburg personnel set up the low-pressure air bag system and stabilized the tree. Concord Fire & Life Safety Station 5 Collapse Team and Ladder 8 were called to provide equipment and personnel. The awkward position of the tree and the position of the excavator made the operation complicated. Crews cleared some debris and removed the cab door to remove the operator from the cab. The operator was transported with non-life threatening injuries. Departments Assisted:
