Harrisburg Fire Department was assigned to investigate smoke in the area of Tarheel Bark Company. Engine 2 and Brush 2 investigated and found several large mulch piles burning as well as small brush fire. Engine & Brush 2 began suppression operations, Engine 1 was called for additional assistance. Harrisburg FD had to utilize several heavy equipment machines since no employees were present. Engine 2 & Brush 2 remained on scene shortly after equipment operators arrived to assist with overhaul. The Harrisburg Fire Marshal's Office is investigating the incident.
