On Monday February 11, 2007 Harrisburg units responded to a brush fire on the railroad tracks to the rear of Galvan Industries. Ladder 1 arrived to find a brush fire spreading rapidly along the tracks. Brush 2 accessed the fire from the tracks while Newell and Harrisburg personnel attacked the fire from Galvan. the fire was controlled in a matter of minutes. This was one of several fires in Mecklenburg and Cabarrus Counties caused by a train.
