Outbuilding Fire
001Around 4pm Harrisburg Fire Department was alerted to a possible house fire. Harrisburg 11 along with Engine 2 arrived to find a outbuilding fully involved with exposure on house and 1/2 acre brush fire. HB11 established command as Engine 2's crew pulled attack lines to protect the house and control the fire.
 
Train vs. Truck

On Wednesday February 4th 2009 around 10am The Harrisburg FD was dispatched to a MVA involving an Amtrak Train and Tractor Trailer. Harrisburg Engine 1, Engine 2 along with a CCEMS 10 and 4 were assigned pt care and evaluated approximately 15 + passengers/crew as well as the driver of the tractor trailer truck.
 
MVA with Pin-in
Hwy 49@Caldwell 07-08 015Harrisburg Fire Department was alerted to a motor vehicle accident with pin-in on NC Highway 49 at Caldwell Road. Harrisburg Engine 1 arrived to find a two car MVA with confirm pin-in.
 
Severe Storms Keep Companies Busy
5986 Heartwood Rd.07-08 013Harrisburg Fire Department responded to several possible house fires from lightning strikes. Harrisburg Engines 1 & 2, as well as the other assisting departments, were committed on numerous assignments. Harrisburg Ladder 1 responded to a residence struck by lightning. While Ladder 1’s crew investigated the residence, a bystander advised Captain Gill that the residence next door was also struck and that there was fire coming from the attic.
